PCB CAPSTONE

Jump to: navigation, search

Due Date

There is a hard deadline by the end of the day of Sunday, March 10, 2019.

Preface

Your group will be making a schematic and pcb based on the capstone that you will do next quarter. These are the PCBs we will be ordering for you, so there's no going back after you create the PCB for this project! Make your decision wisely, and ask Bruno & Kaleb any questions you have!

Video

Please watch this video before starting the project to get an understanding on how PCBs work.

About the Project

For this project, creating the PCB will be essential in you completing your capstone, so do a good job! You will be using different libraries and videos which will differ based on which capstone you will be doing.

The OPS leads last year made two videos detailing how to create the schematic and PCB each respective capstone. Please watch the video for the capstone your group is doing through and follow it closely. For these boards, please try to make them as small as possible to minimize cost. You have to make them at least as small as the videos denote.

When submitting your PCB files, please put them in the team folder labeled with your team number here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1Usj9BoAaojc3MMGCykxZAGFl4xCKy6Q9?usp=sharing

Please include 3 things in your folder:

1. Your sch file for your circuit

2. Your brd file for pcb

3. A zip file containing all the ger (gerber) files

***NOTE: FOR THE AP CAPSTONE, PLEASE CONECT THE RADIO AND IMU TO THE 3.3 V PIN, NOT THE 5 V PIN. YOU WILL BURN OUT YOUR COMPONENTS. THANKS AND HAVE A NICE DAY***
